32 Degrees this morning while we groomed the trail for both classic diagonal stride and skate skiing. We have plenty of snow for full operation, come and get it! NOAA is calling for 4″-8″ in the next 24 hours- sounds good to me! We are grooming daily.

As of today, Nov. 29th 2010 we have plenty of snow to begin grooming our Nordic Ski trails here in West Gacier! The trails have been rolled several times, compacted and some corduroy set, so come on up and give it a try. We will open the Glacier Outdoor Center for winter business on Wednesday December 8th, until then- please come and ski at your own risk. We will continue to maintain and improve the trails throughout the next week! Pray for more snow, and see you all soon!

The new year has been good to us up here in West Glacier! The snow has been stacking up and our trails are in the best shape of the year!
We have 8″ of new snow in the past 48 hours, and a settled base of 18″. This means plenty of snow to play in, weather you are on skis or on paws!
Don’t worry, the dogs are not having all the fun, and there will be plenty of fresh corduroy for you tomorrow, since our grooming staff is out on the trail every morning!

It was a beautiful day yesterday and fortunately we avoided the rain! It was cold last night and the trails are hard again. I took a couple passes with the groomer this morning and it looks great now. Get out this morning because it will probably get soft again this afternoon. |

Well, we’re getting the moisture, but right now it’s coming in the form of the “R” word. Hopefully, this will turn into snow tonight. |
